MECHANICAL TESTING

The IMR mechanical testing lab is well equipped to perform most standard mechanical testing as well as specialized tests designed to the customer's requirements. Our mechanical testing staff is comprised of professional, knowledgeable technicians and engineers who are well-versed in the latest techniques.  From a simple round, flat or tube tensile test or coating tensile test, to product testing and lengthy fatigue test plans, our staff is accessible and ready to assist you with your physical testing needs.

A complete in-house machine shop supports the department’s fatigue and composite testing capabilities with precise specimen preparation and fixture fabrication.  We also offer a full array of additional material testing services throughout the IMR family of labs including chemical analysis, failure analysis and corrosion testing.

For information about our mechanical testing services, contact:

Jim Andrews (Mgr-Mechanical Lab/Machine Shop in NY),
Brett Miller (Lab Director in KY), or
Doug Puerta (Lab Director in OR)

You can also request a quote or receive a start-up kit to learn more about our mechanical testing services.
