John earned his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University after receivng an MS from the University of Rhode Island, and a BS from Southern Connecticut State College. He has thirty years of work experience in the independent analytical laboratory environment, and has acquired expertise in the broad field of materials failure analysis. John has also qualified in court as an expert witness in materials failure analysis and in the general fields of metallurgy and microanalysis (i.e. microscopic evaluation of solid materials). John's favorite pastime is spending time with his family, but he was also an avid runner, played/coached softball, and enjoys scuba diving.
