John holds a B.S. in Applied Physics from the State University of New York at Geneseo.  He recently completed his M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology.  John’s graduate research was sponsored by Nanopower Research Labs, where he focused on the incorporation of carbon nanotubes into polymer matrices for the fabrication of novel “nanocomposite” materials. 

John started at IMR in the Nonmetallics department and has gone on develop a variety of test procedures while overseeing IMR’s composite testing capabilities.

In his free time, John Enjoys downhill skiing, working on home improvement projects, collecting artwork, and reading.
