Waterjet Cutting Services for Test Sample Preparation

PRECISION WATERJET CUTTING OF ALLOY, POLYMER, AND PLASTIC TEST SAMPLES

The water jet cutting process is an effective form of precision cold-cutting for preparing materials testing samples. This process prevents heat-affected flaws on the material that traditional blades, lasers and saw cutting have the potential to create.  Due to its relatively narrow kerf, water jet cutting can reduce the amount of scrap material produced, by allowing uncut parts to be nested more closely together than traditional cutting methods.

A water jet cutting machine can consistently achieve a parts tolerance of +/- 0.001”. This makes the water jet cutting process highly desirable for cutting mechanical test specimans.
