Hardness Testing

Hardness testing is a basic test used to verify raw materials or as a quick check for materials that fail or aren't performing as expected.  Hardness tests quantify the resistance of a material to plastic deformation and is available as microindentation or macroindentation.

IMR Test Labs offers a range of hardness and microhardness testing to meet your needs.  We offer hardness testing on metals (Rockwell, Brinell), microhardness testing (Macro Vickers, Vickers, Knoop) and hardness testing on polymers & composites (Barcol, Durometer, Shore.)

Our labs offer a full array of routine testing programs including hardness testing to tensiles, spectroscopy, microstructure, salt spray and more. If you're looking for routine material checks that include hardness testing or another analyses, we provide production support for a wide range of manufacturers from Aerospace to Energy.  With standard turnarounds of 3 days or less, and expedites available, IMR will get you the accredited analyses you need.
